First time trying out Ukrainian. The only other Eastern European cuisine that I've tried previously was Polish, and the two weren't too far off. Unfortunately, As I wasn't too familiar with the language, and the names of the foods, I can't give good recommendations. One thing that I did notice, though was that Ukrainian food seemed to be less sour compared to Polish. The place is located deep inside the building, so be sure to walk all the way in. It's right next to a bigger Ukrainian restaurant that has a slightly better rating, but I can't imagine it being too different, taste wise.

Delicious Ukrainian food with a homemade touch. Bar in front, downstairs then to the restaurant, sharing a basement with offices, and finally a buffet hall spacious enough for roughly one hundred people. Two brands of Ukrainian bottled beer. Friendly waitstaff. The bathroom is an adventure, what with a maze of a restaurant, featureless office suites, to a bulletproof glass partition through which the inattentive waitress has to buzz you (no password in Ukrainina required, thankfully). This location regularly hosts the Manhattan Libertarian Party, which Larry Sharpe addressed on April 9th, 2019, after his run for NY Governor in 2018.

Super old-school and wonderful Ukrainian restaurant hidden away on 2nd Avenue. Great option if you are looking to explore Ukrainian cuisine!

Delicious Ukrainian food in a church basement-like setting. I don’t think you can get a more authentic experience anywhere outside of Ukraine. One of my favorite restaurants.

Great old school Ukrainian restaurant! There is only one waitress usually so be prepared to wait a little. The food is fantastic though so just have a little patience.
